Schedule I rolled back progress after a crash — safest recovery steps?

Schedule I loaded an older world or save after a crash. The current files might still be present, so I do not want to launch and overwrite more data.
What should be copied first, and how can backup or temporary files be checked safely around save files, Unity launch options, borderless mode, and crowded-area performance?

Stop launching the game until backups are copied.
- Copy the complete save/world directory somewhere outside the game folder.
- Look for `.bak`, `.old`, temporary, or cloud-conflict copies.
- Compare modified times and file sizes.
- Disable cloud sync before restoring anything.
- Restore into a separate test slot or duplicate world name when possible.
- Once the newer save opens correctly, exit and back it up again before cloud sync returns.
For Schedule I, the risky areas are save files, Unity launch options, borderless mode, and crowded-area performance. Repeated launches can rotate backups and make recovery harder.
