About this game

New World is an online action MMORPG set on the supernatural island of Aeternum. Players gather resources, craft equipment, develop weapon-based abilities, complete quests, explore dangerous regions, and join group activities. Combat uses aiming, blocking, dodging, and active skills rather than traditional tab targeting. Settlements, factions, trading, expeditions, and large player-versus-player conflicts create several progression paths. Later releases revised the story, leveling experience, endgame systems, and console presentation under the New World: Aeternum name while retaining the same world and core combat.
