Phasmophobia is a cooperative paranormal investigation game where players enter haunted locations and identify the ghost using evidence and behavior. Teams carry tools such as cameras, thermometers, spirit boxes, sensors, and ultraviolet lights while monitoring sanity and responding to dangerous hunts. Different ghost types share some clues but behave in distinct ways, so experienced players learn to combine equipment results with movement patterns and special traits. Proximity voice chat and optional speech interaction increase tension, especially when players separate to cover a larger building.
