ok so im running a devotion paladin first playthrough and im already stressed about breaking my oath lol. in act 1 i run into karlach by the river and the tieflings (anders and his goons) told me shes a literal devil that needs to be put down. so as a good lawful paladin i figured helping them hunt her down is the "right" thing to do right??
but something feels off. karlach doesnt act evil at all when u talk to her, she seems chill and desperate. so now im scared if i attack her im actually attacking an innocent person which is EXACTLY the kind of thing that breaks devotion oath.
does the game count attacking her as an oathbreaker trigger? or is it fine because i was "deceived" and thought i was doing good? does intent matter to the game or is it purely based on the action? really dont wanna tank my paladin 3 hours in and get stuck with oathbreaker knight showing up 😭 whats the actual mechanic here
