How do I unlock Race Awakening (V4) and is it actually worth the grind?

I finally hit the Third Sea and everyone keeps telling me to go awaken my race, but I’m confused about what that even involves. I’ve got my race at V3 already. Before I spend hours on this I want to know: • What are the actual requirements to start Race Awakening / V4? • What’s this Mirage Island thing everyone complains about — do I really need it? • How many trials are there and do I have to do all of them? • Honestly, is V4 worth it, or is it a nice-to-have I can skip for now?
