I'm deep into Ranni's questline and I'm stuck trying to get up Renna's Rise (the tower Iji points me to, not Ranni's Rise where I first met her). I made it to the tower but there's still some kind of seal/barrier blocking the entrance, and the waygate at the top that's supposed to teleport me to Ainsel River isn't accessible.
What I've already done:
Beat Starscourge Radahn and dropped into Nokron
Grabbed the Fingerslayer Blade from the chest in Nokron
Talked to Iji, who mentioned Renna's Rise
But the seal on the tower is still there and I can't get in to reach the waygate. Did I miss a step between getting the Fingerslayer Blade and the tower opening up? Do I need to actually hand the blade over somewhere first, or talk to a specific NPC to trigger the seal disappearing? Not sure if I skipped a dialogue or if this is the known softlock people mention.
