Does Heroes of the Storm have any official lore explaining why all these characters are battling each other in the first place?
I’m asking because other MOBAs handle this explicitly — Riot originally justified League of Legends matches as a way for Runeterra’s factions to resolve conflicts inside regulated arenas instead of tearing the world apart with open magical war.
Since HotS pulls characters from completely different Blizzard universes (Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo, Overwatch), is there a canonical explanation for how they all ended up in the Nexus and why they’re forced to fight?
